Hope for Women has contributed to the Health Sector’s Response to GBV workshop conducted by Ministry of Health and supported by UNFPA.
In response to the Domestic Violence Act, Hope for Women is supporting the Ministry of Health to develop the capacity to respond to survivors of gender based violence. For survivors of domestic abuse, a healthcare facility is mostly the first point for seeking help.
A training of the trainers was conducted to the healthcare providers as trainers on the National Guideline on providing care and prevention, as part of the health sector response to gender-based violence. The five-day training will continue from 27 October to 31 October 2013.
Hope for Women is committed in promoting the right of every woman, man and child to enjoy a life of health and dignity and to creating an enabling world where every person can fulfill their full potential.
